Story
Through a compassionate lens, Metabolism Repair for Women explores how both eating behavior and energy expenditure are not under conscious control. Instead, they’re subject to the brain’s regulatory mechanism. And if you have metabolic dysfunction (i.e., insulin resistance, hypoglycemia, and/or weight gain), it’s because something is amiss with that regulatory mechanism.

Hormonal. We all know what it means when we hear it - and feel it. While hormonal shifts are natural throughout women’s lives, too many experience distressing period symptoms, struggle daily with PCOS, endometriosis, a fertility challenge, pain, low sex drive, sleep problems, acne, bloating, hot flashes, and more - all due to hormone-related problems. And too many are unable to get the answers they’re really seeking from their doctors.

Story
In this revolutionary audiobook, Dr. Lisa Mosconi, director of the Women's Brain Initiative at Weill Cornell Medical College, provides women with the first plan to address the unique risks of the female brain. Until now, medical research has focused on "bikini medicine", assuming that women are essentially men with breasts and tubes. Yet women are far more likely than men to suffer from anxiety, depression, migraines, brain injuries, and strokes. They are also twice as likely to end their lives suffering from Alzheimer's disease, even when their longer lifespans are taken into account.

Great Book with Tons of Info
Almost deducted one star as listed resources often aren’t in any way available to audiobook listeners.
Clearly aimed for female readers, but interesting and informative for everyone (male healthcare provider here).
Awesome perspectives, lots of DIY options, and direct advice on how to talk to your doctor about various topics. Brilliant. Helps to showcase the unique offerings and perspectives of evidence based naturopathic doctors, and why they are so necessary in our heath care system
