About this listen
Belly finds out what comes after falling in love in this follow-up to The Summer I Turned Pretty from the New York Times bestselling author of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (soon to be a major motion picture!), Jenny Han.
Can summer be truly summer without Cousins Beach?
It used to be that Belly counted the days until summer, until she was back at Cousins Beach with Conrad and Jeremiah. But not this year. Not after Susannah got sick again and Conrad stopped caring. Everything that was right and good has fallen apart, leaving Belly wishing summer would never come.
But when Jeremiah calls saying Conrad has disappeared, Belly knows what she must do to make things right again. And it can only happen back at the beach house, the three of them together, the way things used to be. If this summer really and truly is the last summer, it should end the way it started—at Cousins Beach.

Story
Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer—they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one wonderful and terrible summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

Publisher's Summary
Follow along as Belly discovers how life-changing love and loss can be in the second book of the Summer series from writer Jenny Han, Not Summer Without You.
It’s summer again, and Belly Conklin’s life has never been more different. Long gone are the carefree summers with her mother, Laurel, the Fishers, and her best friend, Taylor, to listen to all her adventures. Still reeling from the events of Susannah’s funeral, her best friend Jeremiah invites her on a road trip to find Conrad, who never showed up to his summer classes. Belly once again finds herself at the summer house she never thought she’d return to, and where last summer, she found Conrad being comforted by his ex-girlfriend at his mother’s funeral, breaking her heart. As she reunites with Jeremiah, listeners hear from his point of view how a love triangle has been developing between the three, making this a summer they won’t soon forget. Best enjoyed without spoilers, this is another hit listeners won’t soon forget.
Lola Tung and Christopher Briney narrate this moving story about young love, loss, and the wonders of summer. Together, they make each main character’s story and struggles come to life, transporting listeners to their cousin’s beach with every line.
Writer Jenny Han is a beloved young adult fiction writer who has written such audiobooks as Always and Forever, Lara Jean, P.S. I Still Love You, and the final instalment of the Summer series, We’ll Always Have Summer. Her beloved books have been developed into both Netflix and Amazon Prime series available to stream now.

I enjoyed listening to this book. It was a good sequel. I would suggest this as a great summer read for teens/young adult although anyone could enjoy it. The narration was done very well.

brilliant.
after binging the television series over two days, i longed for more content of these characters and the recorded books 1000% sealed the deal. totally worth the read as there’s so many new details that you get from listening to the book that you miss watching a televised version.

Young love and an easy read but with that tortured love twist that we’ve all felt in our life. Very sweet and sad all at the same time.

Loved it!
Really happy they had Lola Tung narrate these audiobooks. I wish they had done this with Jenny Han’s other books because Lola really feels like Belly, so having her narrate the story really added something extra. Gavin threw me off for a minute because I felt like his voice was different than Jeremiah in the show but I adjusted and it was nice.
