About this listen
Discover the life-changing power of self-discipline.
Every year hundreds of young recruits join the US Marine Corps. When they arrive for basic training, they are soft, unfit, and mentally weak. The recruit will have no idea what real discipline means. Up to that point, he has lived a life of weakness. He has given into all his natural impulses and has feasted on junk food, surfed the Internet, and generally lived far under his potential.
Very soon, he will be thrown into a cauldron of discipline. He will experience for the very first time a life of control and power. When he comes out on the other side, he will be a new man. People who know these men will see a transformed person. This is the power of self-discipline.
In this book, you will learn lessons in self-discipline from the masters of self-discipline.The Spartans and the Special Operations community is the heart and soul of discipline. The Spartans don't exist anymore, but they left a legacy that still lives on today. The warrior tradition of the Spartans is built on a foundation of immense self-discipline.
The Modern Special Operations Units carry similar traditions of extreme self-discipline. Today, you can use these lessons in your life to carve out any future you want. This book will guide you through the most important principles of self-discipline. It will teach you how to take your life and transform yourself into a powerful individual if you choose to do so and take action.
Let's take a look at what you will learn inside this book:

The Red Book, published to wide acclaim in 2009, contains the nucleus of C. G. Jung's later works. It was here that he developed his principal theories of the archetypes, the collective unconscious, and the process of individuation that would transform psychotherapy from treatment of the sick into a means for the higher development of the personality.

Good reinforcement.
It is a good book to listen to if you want to be reminded of what you should be doing. some stuff is a bit farfetched.. and you definitely should not follow the workout / diet advice too seriously .. good book for someone who is just starting their self development journey..

A codex for attaining manhood
Military training is a lost tradition in our world and this loss is costly for the male gender. As you will learn in the book, military training created strong men with great qualities that allowed them to endure the various challenges presented in one’s life. I recommend this book to everyone but most especially to young guys who wish to improve their sense of duty, responsibility and of course self discipline, in order to reach manhood.

Excellent reminder to reset your mindset
The author provides a good review of the qualities we need to develop and the actions we need to engage into to get out of mediocrity. Most of us know these qualities and actions but it is sometimes good to get a well structured reminder to trigger a significant change in our personal life.

Very good and concise
Great example using the warrior mentality. Some extreme points, but overall a very simple and effectively written book. Easy to understand, and inline with the warrior strategies discussed.

Excellent. To the point.
Very well written manual for self-discipline. Reverberates with the Stoic ideas that shaped Europe. Would highly recommend to a friend.
