Great tool for understanding pregnancy, labour, and birth

I’m so glad this book is now available in an (accessible) audio format. Full of the same great knowledge as the previous additions but written in a way that feels more inclusive. I have bought copies for a few of my friends already.

Informative and helpful for anyone expecting

This was a wonderful book full of useful information and guides. I will be purchasing a book copy to have with me when my wife goes into labor to refer back to if needed.

Woke nonsense.

I have the original edition in print and there are a few helpful tips and tricks in there. Most of which, my wife did not want me to employ with either of our children. However the new edition you will find here is rife with woke nonsense. If you approve of the phrases “pregnant people” “birthing person” and “chest feeding”, you’ll probably love this book. If not, there are many better, and apolitical, birth support books out there.

1st edition is probably better

As an expectant father choosing to listen to this audiobook, I thought that I could do my work as well as gain some insight into the process of being a birth partner. My wife also wanted me to be prepared and suggested this book.

This 5th edition, with revised language described as 'championed' onto the pages, is almost unbearable. For example, the term 'birth person' is used instead of woman. Can a man give birth? No. this is a biological law. The enabling of these nonsensical terms really makes this audiobook like a root canal.
