Publisher's Summary

Andrew McCarthy grows concerned for his family after he catches a young man, Zachary Denton, photographing his daughter, Grace McCarthy, and other children at a park. To his dismay, Zachary talks his way out of trouble when he’s confronted by the police. He hopes that’s the end of it. Then he finds Zachary at a diner and then at a grocery store. He knows their encounters aren't coincidences. And just as Andrew prepares to defend his family, Grace vanishes.

As the police search stalls and the leads dry up, Andrew decides to take matters into his own hands. He starts by searching for sex offenders in the area and researching enhanced interrogation techniques.... He convinces himself he’ll do anything to rescue his daughter, unaware of the pure evil he'll face in his journey. He’s willing to hurt - to torture - anyone to save his family.

Jon Athan, the author of Into the Wolves’ Den and The Abuse of Ashley Collins, delves into the underworld of internet predators in this disturbing horror novel. Are your children safe?

out of words

im literally out of words!

Sigh. . .there were a lot of intense moments! chapter 3 never left my noggin, i hate that I keep on picturing it, its disturbing to the point where i had to skip some of it because i know that it will take me a while to move on.

The final pages of the book was definitely fucked up! i was sad for Andrew and his family, and disgusted about what ended up happening to his daughter! it reminded me that there are a lot of sickos out there, and to always be vigilant!

Extremely graphic but excellent

I’m a huge fan of extreme horror but even I had a hard time getting through some of the first few scenes. I did find the narration irritating and almost robot-like. It was a little unusual. But overall recommended if you can handle very graphic scenes of violent torture.

Disturbing

I went into this book knowing the disturbing and sensitive nature of the story. My triggers weren't met, not sure if that's good or bad considering the subject matter lol. That being said some parts were still very tough to listen to especially coming from the POV of the villain. Overall it was it was a good read.

Terrific read

My first experience with extreme horror. I barely made it through the book with all its gory violence. I still like this though and found it hard to put down. The narration could have been better that was my only thing I would change

Extreme

A graphic book covering a hard subject. Definitely not for everyone. what would you do if your child was taken? what would you do if those bad people did bad things to that child?
This father went on a path of violence and murder to find those responsible and hopefully save his child.
check trigger warnings first.

Disturbing. The warning should be stronger!

A Friend had suggested this book as I like to read more catch a killer type novels, but this book is very descriptive from the villains POV so much so, that it made me sick to my stomach. The content is highly disturbing and after reading more titles by this Arthur he is niche in this genre. The warning at the beginning does not even cover the depravity of this topic so graphically covered. I have removed this title from my library.
