    Years ago, I learned of the loss of a loved one in a text message while at work, just before entering a meeting with my boss. Instead of taking my time to grieve, I inhaled all of my emotions and buried them deep enough so that I could keep working. We live in a doing society that doesn't embrace the need to heal. That is why there is so much fragmentation and strife in the day-to-day. Don't believe me...ask yourself what you did the last time you were dealing with grief or some type of trauma. Did you take the time you needed to stand in the truth of your emotion before barreling ahead with life? Probably not. Most of us don't have the luxury to go through all five stages of grief to create a path towards healing; and the time it takes to grieve depends on so many factors.
