Codependency & Addiction: Can you be in recovery and codependent? I was, and I hated that word so much! My husband was codependent, too. It turns out that I misunderstood what the word meant. It's a coping mechanism, and in this episode, I ask thought-provoking questions and share ideas on regaining your well-deserved independence. This may be my last post before the holiday season. I won't be back until mid-January, but I'll post earlier content if I can't make original content.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I answer my emails, unless you’re a solicitor, I’m not interested. For free, downloadable worksheets and blog posts, please visit my website.

Sending everyone happy and healthy vibes,

    Laura

  • Recovery Bottom Lines Defined; Turn Negatives Into Positives
    Nov 19 2024

    Send us a text

One of the most frequent questions I’m asked and see online is, “What’s considered a relapse in recovery?” To me, it’s a personal choice. I believe that each person’s recovery is their own to define. What may be a bottom line to me may not be a bottom line to someone else. A great tool to use is The Three Circles and the accompanying worksheet.

Raise your hand if you struggle with negative thoughts and emotions. Don’t worry—you’re not alone. We all do from time to time, and if we’re in recovery or healing, those negative thoughts and emotions can be pretty persistent. We can rewire them toward positive thinking, feelings, and behaviors. The more we push our brains in that direction, the more they will go that way on their own. Learn how to use my Meet It, Greet It, and Transform It technique.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I answer my emails; however, I'm not interested if you're a solicitor. For free, downloadable worksheets and blog posts, please visit my website.
