Publisher's Summary

If anyone ever said being an adult was easy, they hadn't been one long enough. Diana Casillas can admit it: she doesn't know what the hell she's doing half the time. How she's made it through the last two years of her life without killing anyone is nothing short of a miracle. Being a grown-up wasn't supposed to be so hard. With a new house, two little boys she inherited in the most painful possible way, a giant dog, a job she usually loves, more than enough family, and friends, she has almost everything she could ever ask for. Except for a boyfriend. Or a husband. But who needs either one of those?

Best book a read In my entire life

I can’t even put into words how amazing this book was. Every little detail flawlessly executed. And I just want to add Josh is like literally the perfect son Louis is the cutest even though I cannot even see him I already know this boy is the cutest child in the entire world. Dallas can be my husband in any lifetime I live.

Good Read

4.5 stars
This book had me smiling almost from the very beginning. I loved these characters (Dallas, Diana, Josh and Louie). They burrowed their way into my heart and stayed there. Unlike some of the MZ’s other heroes, Dallas is both grumpy and not. He is such a teddy bear maybe grizzly bear is a better description. He’s my new book boyfriend. There is something special about Dallas. The boys added so much to this story and I loved when they were on page, along with Miss Pearl. She was something else in a good way.
I loved that we got to see the couples from Under Locke, Kulti and The Wall of Winnipeg and Me in their HEA. It was awesome to see so much of Trip – I hope he gets his own story.

I listened to this book on audio and the narrator did a good job.

Neighbourhood Friends to Lovers

Dallas and Diana- extremely slow burn and next to no spice

Dallas is going through a divorce when Diana moves in across the road with her 2 nephews she is a guardian for.

I thought the story would have more to do with a MC after it was mentioned. Good fluff listen- the pauses between chapters is a bit odd at first and I thought something happened to the audio.

Would like to see more from a couple of the characters especially Tripp.

Loved

Loved this story and the characters. Loved the slow build up and how the love story was created.

All the feels!!!

What a great book!!! When I started listening I realized that this was Dianna’s story. She is the friend in the book…. The Wall of Winnipeg and Me. Such an amazing book of an aunt who stepped up to be a parent to her brothers boys. He passed away and left them to her in his will. She did everything for them and loved them as her own. They move into a new neighbourhood and they start off on the wrong foot with her neighbor. But as time goes on he becomes her nephews baseball coach. He starts helping her with things and there’s something there between them but he’s technically married so they both won’t cross that line.
Callie Dalton did an amazing job as always on this book.

So good

Second favorite Mariana Zapata book. Ive read it a bunch of times and it just tugs on the heart strings every time. Only book better than this one is The Wall of Winnipeg and Me. She’s an amazing author and always choose narrators that fit so well. Keep them coming and I’ll keep buying them!

Loved it

I loved this MZ book, it may be my favourite one yet with lots of references to the other happily ever after couples from other books. I do wish it was a duet narration like her other books, but the narrator does a great job as usual

Very slow

Wait For It lacks the angsty magic of Kulti and The Wall of Winnipeg although it’s written in the same universe. I love a slow burn romance but this was pretty boring.
