always a fun story to listen to. wish they had full cast for narration but it's still good.

excellent performance. very very enjoyable audio book. adds some wonderful detail to the story. extends each scene beautifully. this is a must for any Alien fan. enjoy!!

This novelization of the third entry in the AlienTM film franchise is a straight-up exact copy of the screenplay. Alan Dean Foster was a great choice for the project: providing near-perfect mind's-eye vivid description and preserving the pacing and style of the Motion Picture - down to the palpable fear among the inmate/caretakers on 'Fury 161' while the monster hunts them in dark corridors.. but he doesn't offer anything more than the 1992 David Fincher film. This book lacks anything new for anyone hoping for added richness to the Xenomorph/Weyland-Yutani/Yautja Universe.. but entertains nicely if you can't get to a screen to watch the movie.

As to presentation: Audible Studios Inc. did well to cast Peter Guinness to narrate the book, too. He wisely avoids trying to mimic the actors in the film - instead offering a noticeably "above-average" performance. Sound Engineers further add judicious incidental music to the recording. This is a great listening product.

Altogether, I give 'Alien 3: The Official Movie Novelization' 9 stars out of 10. I feel very, very fortunate that they included this audiobook in the 'Plus' catalog.. because it would merit a Credit if they asked for one.
