About this listen

The best-selling novel featuring the "wonderfully epic hero" (People) who inspired the hit film Jack Reacher.

Skilled, stealthy, and anonymous, Jack Reacher is the perfect man for the job: to assassinate the vice president of the United States. Theoretically. The head of a high-level Secret Service security detail wants Reacher to find the holes in her system - and fast. A group of desperate men already has the vice president in its sights. And it will stop at nothing to realize its objective.

The assassins have planned well. But they never planned on Jack Reacher.

Another one down

Not perfect and the lead up is a little dry in this one. It is satisfying overall if you enjoy this type of novel.

Great listen

I enjoyed this fully, but I like “Reacher”. I only wish there were female narrators for female roles. Mr. Hill can take care of the rest for sure !!! Well done !

my hero

love this story, as far as I'm concerned, Jack reached can do no wrong.
in this installment, he's posed with an interesting dilemma: can he assassinate a high official in the white house...until it becomes apparent that someone is trying to do just that and now he must prevent it.
in these tense political climes it's a fast-paced tale told well by Dick Hill reminiscent of a classic radio play.
kudos to both him and lee child for a tale well told!

Painfully obvious and boring. Poorly written.

I can't recall a book where the author wrote that a character 'said nothing' because it is obvious if there is no written dialogue. This author felt it necessary to use that phrase between 200 and 300 times. At least 200 'Reacher said nothing'. Good grief.

Great Story, Distracting Performance

I'm a big fan of the Reacher series and have read quite a few of the books. This is the first Reacher audiobook that I have listened too.

it's a great story but the performance is very distracting. The narrator has a very unique voice which at the best time can be distracting, let alone when he changes his voice for the female characters.

Terrible Narration

I barely finished it.
Took me weeks.
The narration make is seem like JR is retarded. Even on 1.25% speed it was still slow.
